 Post subject: BMW PGA welcomes fans for practice day

The BMW PGA Championship is opening its doors for the first time on a Tuesday due to an increased demand from spectators in recent years.

May 21 will be the official practice day with tickets on the gate selling for only £10 compared to the £36 it costs to watch one day of competitive play. Wednesday will be the Celebrity Pro-Am Day, australia golf online with tickets to watch the pros play with the best of the entertainment world going for £15 on the gate. The Championship looks to be a family affair with children under 16 gaining free admission when with an adult.

Getting to Wentworth couldn't be easier with a Park and Ride available at two locations with a free shuttle bus just ten minutes from the course. Limited Edition Del Mar Putter BMW drivers and official badge owners are able to park on site and the public can pay £10 for a parking space from Wednesday onwards.

Spectators will see Luke Donald try and match Colin Montgomerie's record of three consecutive victories and can also follow the 2012 Ryder Cup team, with Captain Jose Maria Olazabal in tow, who reunite on European soil for the first time since the 'Miracle of Medinah'.

Jamie Birkmyre, Championship Director, said: "The BMW PGA Championship has grown considerably in stature, and in terms of visitor numbers, in recent years. Consequently, Monterey California Putter 2012 we felt it was imperative to simplify the means of getting spectators to and from the course and all the facilities in order to appreciate everything the Championship can offer.

"Spectators can still enjoy the same high level of service as in previous years and we believe that everyone attending in 2013 will love the enhanced overall experience. Due to the increased level of interest in the Championship, TaylorMade R7 CGB Max Iron Set the vast majority of facilities – such as public catering and refreshment outlets – will be fully operational from Tuesday for the first time.

"This will allow the public, who might not be able to attend on the four days of the tournament, to see their heroes in a more relaxed mode earlier in the week."
